What is a Telegram Stars check
A check is a link with Stars that the recipient activates with a single button right in Telegram. You create the check in the bot, share it in a chat or channel, and the person collects the Stars onto their account. It's handy when you need to hand Stars to someone who hasn't opened the bot yet, or give them out to many people at once.
Telegram has no official check mechanic — only gifts and giveaways. Checks and multi-checks are built by third-party bots, including our @starseibot. Everything works inside the messenger, with no third-party apps.
A check is an "envelope" of Stars in the form of a link. Send it to a chat — the recipient collects it with one button. Nothing to install.
Personal check vs multi-check: the difference
Checks come in two kinds — for different tasks.

For a gift to one person a personal check is enough. For a channel giveaway a multi-check is more convenient: you set the amount and the number of activations, and one link is collected by several different recipients.

Check limits
Our limits are among the largest on the market, where many services don't publish any figures at all:
- Up to 100,000 Stars in a single check — enough even for a large giveaway.
- Up to 1,000 activations in one multi-check.
- No limit on the number of checks — create as many as you need.
A multi-check's amount is split between activations: for example, a check for 1,000 Stars with 10 activations gives each person 100 Stars.
Payment methods
You can create a check with Russian payment methods, no crypto or foreign cards:
- SBP — transfer by QR or link from your banking app.
- Bank card — Visa, Mastercard and MIR from Russian banks.
- SberPay — one-tap payment for Sberbank clients.
- TON or Stars — if it's more convenient to pay with crypto or from your balance.
This sets us apart from many check services that accept crypto only.
Is it safe to send Stars via a check
The check works inside Telegram, activation runs through the bot's secure mechanism, and the transaction history is visible in the messenger.
Neither creating a check nor activating it requires a password, an SMS code or account access. Anyone who asks for a password to "collect Stars from a check" is a scammer.
If the payment went through but the check wasn't created, support inside the bot will sort out the order. We work around the clock.
